I've seen this quote in multiple publications over the years and consider it one of Pierre's most eloquent statements. The idea that the philosophy of Olympism pushes the individual toward perfection is on stage, athletically speaking, in every edition of the Olympic Games. I drew this quote from a publication entitled The Olympic Movement, which was produced by the International Olympic Academy in 2002.
